Flat Tyre: What to Do

Flat tyre - what to do first? Start with safety. Here's a step-by-step guide - including what to do on a motorway or busy road.

Flat Tyre: What to Do First

Hazards on, pull over somewhere safe and level, away from traffic. Get passengers out on the side away from traffic.

On a Motorway or Dual Carriageway

Don't attempt to change a tyre on the hard shoulder. Get behind the barrier and call 999 or your breakdown provider.

Spare, Sealant or Mobile Fitter?

Fit the spare only if safe. Sealant kits are a temporary fix. Or call our emergency tyre fitting service.

When to Call a Mobile Tyre Fitter

If you're not sure whether a tyre is safe, don't guess. Call CG Tyres on 07903 075 737 - we'll talk you through it and, if needed, come to you to repair or replace the tyre wherever you are.
